I always liked the idea of going to the fair and checking out rollercoasters and those other cool rides, but for some reason the former always fascinated me. This is why, when I first saw the UE4 Rollercoaster with VR support, I was amazed with the ideas that it tries to bring in to the table, and the results are more than astounding.

Right off the bat, this is a very interesting VR game just because it doesn’t require a lot of processing power, but at the same time you can use it even with an older VR unit such as the DK1 from oculus. It’s nice to have such a coaster experience, but it can also be quite demanding for those that have issues with sudden movement all the time.

The experience isn’t that interactive, because you can’t really control everything in the game, but on the other hand it can bring in front quite a lot of interesting mechanics which can rarely be seen in a VR game per say. The title is really interesting since it does integrate all the latest VR tech as well as UE4, so it does look amazing right off the bat, but the simple idea of riding the rollercoaster and just exploring the true VR mechanics here is what makes the entire game so impressive. It’s nice to see that we have such a great game, albeit quite small, because what matters the most is to just have fun, and this game does deliver on its premise.

The entire VR session is amazing and very detailed, albeit a little short, but you can repeat it as many times as you want. Since this is a rollercoaster, you just need to admire the beautiful level design, but it can give you nausea especially if you choose to play this multiple times. If you have a VR unit, then this can bring you quite a lot of fun, since it’s designed to offer cool experiences and plenty of unique moments as a whole.

I have to say that despite being short, this game is a ton of fun, and at the end of the day this is what matters the most. It’s a really cool experience with a lot of nice stuff to offer and you will enjoy the attention to detail that it provides. The VR is great, and performance-wise the title is also stellar, since you can play it without any problem on just about any unit.
